The Satellite Pendant by GUBI is a sculptural lighting design that brings atmospheric illumination and distinctive mid-century character to dining rooms, hallways, lounges, restaurants, and hospitality interiors. Its organic shade and geometric structure create a soft interplay of light and shadow, allowing the pendant to work as both a functional light source and a visual centerpiece. Designed by Mathieu Matégot in 1953, the Satellite Pendant showcases the designer's innovative Rigitulle technique, a perforated metal material that can be bent and folded with fabric-like flexibility. The design was named as a tribute to the scientific progress of post-war France, and its airy metal shade continues to feel imaginative, playful, and technically refined. Offered here in US-compatible versions with a black base and cream white semi-matte shade, the Satellite Pendant is available in medium and large sizes.
